Dear students, parents, and community members:
We thank you for your continued support in our school programs. Many of you assisted with our Fall Festival and with our Art by Me Program. Your involvement in your child's school is vital to his/her academic achievement. We continue to invite you to visit us during Writers' Workshop any day you have an opportunity to do so.
November and December provide many opportunities to showcase student work. Please join us for the programs we have planned during these months, and look for more information in your child's classroom newsletter. As the holidays approach, look for ways to provide healthy downtime for your children and to encourage learning. If you travel, play travel games that challenge students. Always keep books around for reading with or to your child. Allow children to make holiday cards for friends and family. And if you love to bake, encourage your child to participate, allowing them to measure and mix.
Remember that adult supervision is provided at car riders from 7:30 to 8:00 each day. If you are arriving after 8:00, students may still enter in the side door. If you are arriving after 8:15 on any given morning, please walk your child into the front door and sign your child into school. Students are tardy at 8:15.
Cold weather is coming soon. Please send students with warm outerwear so that outside time can still be an option for them. Have a wonderful holiday season with your families!
Sincerely,
Penni Jones
